WHO WE ARE
OSI Black & Gold Studios is the on-campus recording studio set up by the Office of Student Involvement as a new creative service. UCF students, faculty, and staff can utilize the OSI Black & Gold studio for a wide variety of audio productions such as podcasts, music recording, or voice-over work. Our goal is to give the UCF community an opportunity to create audio productions completely free of charge with no restriction or preference to any major. Currently, our studio is located in All Knight Study 2 at Ferrell Commons. We run a Behringer X 32 sound board with multiple presets for beginners. Connected into the board are five RE20 microphones for professional quality podcast recording, three Behringer C1 condenser mics ideally suited for singing, and one Samson CO3 for the more advanced user and effects. In addition to recording equipment, OSI Black & Gold Studios provides workshops for anyone looking to learn more about podcasts and audio recording.
