The Office of Student Involvement (OSI) provides programming, community service opportunities, leadership development, and student organization assistance in an effort to enhance student life, contribute to enrollment growth, and establish a collegiate learning experience for students at the University of Central Florida. OSI also advises and coordinates several student agencies, including the Campus Activities Board, Volunteer UCF, Knightcast, Late Knights, Knight-Thon, Homecoming, Student Outreach Services, and Knights of the RoundTable.
Graduate Assistant (GA) positions are offered by OSI to support the mission of the office. These positions are funded by the Activity and Service Fee as allocated by the Student Government Association. Each position reports to a professional staff member in OSI and involves intensive work with student leaders and the general student body. The regular term of service is a year, but the contract may be renewed for additional years. GA positions are part-time, 20 hours per week, and pay a stipend that equates to $10.62 per hour. Graduate Assistants may receive tuition waivers for a maximum of 9 credit hours and health insurance.
