We will be meeting at Lake Claire at 8 am in order to carpool to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Here we will be sorting donations for those who are less fortunate than many of us. Everybody is an artist!

We will be doing arts and crafts with the children at Harbor House! There will be children of all different ages there, so we will try to have an assortment of different activities such as coloring, painting, making bracelets, etc. Feel free to bring any of your own supplies that you think will make the event fun! Volunteering with The Salvation Army

We will be serving with The Salvation Army at a soup kitchen. We will serve food and clean up afterward. First we will meet at Lake Claire to carpool, then we will go downtown at the address listed to go through a brief orientation. Then we will be taken to the soup kitchen (624 Lexington Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801). Please wear comfortable clothing, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. Note that we will be standing and walking around the whole time. ** Before we can volunteer, everyone must fill out a volunteer application and background check--free of charge. The deadline to have completed these documents is August 31. Volunteer UCF will often meet at the UCF Orlando Campus Lake Claire Pavilion before departing to the location where the service event will happen.  At this meeting point participants can choose to offer a ride to other participants or can choose to accept such offers of a ride.  VUCF does not prescreen drivers, and we do not vouch for their vehicles or driving abilities.  Transportation to and from the event is arranged on your own and at your own risk.  VUCF takes no responsibility with regard to the travel arrangements of participants.
