Cracker Christmas is an outdoor event, so it is important to dress for the weather. We will be meeting at Lake Clair at 9 to carpool to Fort Christmas. Come tutor elementary and middle school students at Page 15 in downtown Orlando! Page 15 is committed to providing supplemental reading and writing education for all students living and attending public schools in Orlando. Their free after-school tutoring is dedicated to enhancing communication skills, encouraging creativity, and inspiring a life-long passion for the language arts. We will be helping in the homework room and assisting students with homework and assignments. We will meet at the Lake Claire Pavilion at 2:30pm to carpool and return to campus at 6:30pm.
We will volunteer at the Mayor Buddy Dyer's Book Club End of Book Party! The Book Club encourages leisure reading and sets initiatives to help improve literacy in our Orlando community. Children are primarily 5th - 8th grade students, but the Book Club is open to students of all ages. Volunteers will be helping with arts and crafts, games and other activities from the book the children have recently completed. Volunteers will meet at Lake Claire at 2:45pm to carpool to the event.
