We will volunteering at Journey's End Santuary! Journey's End provides lifetime care and shelter for dogs, cats, horses, pigs, sheep, and birds that have been abused, neglected or have special needs. Rather than emphasizing adoption, Journey's End provides a homelike setting where animals can enjoy the remainder of their lives in a comfortable, loving atmosphere. During our time there, we will engage in service tasks such as bathing dogs, grooming cats in the cat house, and possibly painting a barn! Get excited :) The address is 1899 Mercers Fernery Road, DeLand, Florida 32720 and is approximately a 1 hour drive from campus. We will meet at the Lake Claire pavillion closest to the equipment rental building at 8:45am for sign-in and carpooling. For those who offer to drive a carpool, you will receive 1 additional hour of community service. Please remember to wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you do not mind getting dirty. Also, bring a snack or lunch. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to email me, Ryan Walker, at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Volunteers will learn about how the electoral process affects students at the National, State, and Local level. Volunteers will also gain a better understanding of how political campaigns operate; in addition, students will also learn about the candidates running in the 2016 presidential primary, and how to get involved with their campaigns.
