Every Sunday night, college students lead a feeding with Straight Street Orlando! This will be a great opportunity to interact with the homeless and help feed the hungry. We meet at the Lake Claire Rec Area at 4:45 pm to carpool to the event. Please remember to wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothes you do not mind getting dirty.
Also, we heavily rely on the support of our volunteers to cook food for this event. Cooking a tray of food is a great way to earn more community service hours! If you are interested in helping us prepare meals please let us know and we will send you the recipe.
Please visit www.ucf.edu/knightconnect to RSVP.
The Mayor's Health Summit will include cancer screenings, educational workshops, and community networking. Volunteers will be assigned to one of the listed assignments the day of the event; parking flow, greeter, registration, room host, or crowd control. This event is in need of many volunteers! We will be carpooling from Lake Claire at 7:45 am and will arrive back at Lake Claire at 12:30 pm. Volunteers are asked to wear UCF shirt and jeans. No shorts please.
This event will be assisting Save-A-Life Pet Rescue Inc. in their adoption event in front of the Petsmart located across from the Oviedo Marketplace. Further directions will be provided at the event. Volunteers will meet at Lake Claire at 12:00PM to sign-in and carpool to the event.
