“Power in Pride: Campus Pride in Charlotte, NC” is an Alternative Break Program Spring Break Experience focusing on LGBTQ+ Awareness. During our experience, we will be partnering with Campus Pride in Charlotte, NC. During this experience, our team will participate in discussions about the LGBTQ+ community, focusing on the importance of safe spaces for college students and increasing awareness about current conditions around the country. In partnership with Campus Pride, our team will also aid in the development of a new program that allows LGBTQ+ professionals to connect with one another, providing assistance when searching for a job. “Partnership Against Domestic Violence: Break the Chain, Amplify Voices” is an Alternative Break Program Spring Break Experience focusing on Domestic Violence Awareness. During our experience, we will be partnering with Partnership Against Domestic Violence in Atlanta, GA. During this experience, Participants will learn about current policies, risk assessment, signs of domestic violence, and how to support PADV clients. Additionally, participants will engage in service work to restock the shelter and assist around the premises. We hope that you join us on this amazing experience for Spring Break 2022!
“Sustainability Through Trail Building: Cumberland Trail Conference” is an Alternative Break Program Spring Break Experience focusing on Environmental Awareness. During our experience, we will be partnering with Cumberland Trails Conference in collaboration with Cumberland Trail State Scenic Park in Pikeville, TN. During this experience, participants will learn about the planning that goes into building a trail meant for recreation while minimizing environmental effects. Additionally, participants will engage in education about the environment, history, geology, flora and fauna along the Cumberland Trail. “Searching for Justice through Non-Violence in Selma” is an Alternative Break Program Spring Break Experience focusing on Civil Rights. During our experience, we will be partnering with Selma Center of Non-violence, Truth, and Reconciliation in Selma, AL. During this experience, our team will participate in a number of service activities, including clothing closet organization and garden upkeep. We will also participate in trainings and discussions on non-violence, restorative justice, and Civil Rights History. We hope that you join us on this amazing experience for Spring Break 2022!
