Manage Your Organization

Re-Registration

To maintain active status and retain access to all the benefits of being a Registered Student Organization (RSO), all RSOs must complete re-registration once per academic year.

An organization is also required to re-register within 10 days of elections or any other leadership change (including advisors).

Failure to re-register within a year from the last re-registration will result in an organization being moved to ‘inactive’ status. If an RSO is inactive for more than a year, they will be required to apply as a new student organization.

Note: At UCF, re-registration is available year-round through KnightConnect. However, RSOs are strongly encouraged to complete re-registration at the start of each fall semester to avoid any disruption in privileges. Be sure to keep your roster and officer information up to date throughout the year.

Registration Steps for Returning Student Organizations

  • Step 1:
    • Log into KnightConnect
    • Find your organization on KnightConnect
    • Select the blue ‘Re-Register’ button next to your organization’s name. Be sure that the person who re-registers the organization will be the primary contact.
  • Step 2:
    • Ensure that all officers who you wish to be ‘’Authorized Officers’’ have completed the Webcourse module to qualify.
  • Step 3:
    • Ensure your registration information is correct and up-to-date. Be sure to review all student organization and event policies for the year. For any additional questions, please contact the Office of Student Involvement at 407-823-6471 or by email at osi@ucf.edu.
  • Step 4:
    • Complete the re-registration packet and wait for approval. This may take up to two weeks to process.
  • Tips:
    • Check KnightConnect Home Page regularly for registration updates and messages.
    • It is the organization’s responsibility to ensure that all information is accurate and current. This includes your KnightConnect roster, officer positions, social media links, constitution, and any other public-facing materials.
    • If your classification requires an advisor, it is your responsibility to identify and secure one, and to follow up on any required forms. Your advisor will serve as your organization’s primary support resource, helping to guide you, provide continuity, and assist with navigating or de-escalating any internal issues that may arise.
