The Event Impact Team assists in planning, building, and executing our most anticipated event of the year: the 20-hour dance marathon, as well as planning smaller special project events for Knight-Thon throughout the year. By planning ceremonies, floor plans, entertainment, event schedules, and more, this team receives hands-on experience in the execution of our event from beginning to end. The Event Team is made up of students who love events and thinking outside of the box.

The Dancer Relations Impact Team works closely with the Directors and Captains on engaging and communicating with team participants. The members are given specific RSOs & Greek Organizations. Members communicate with and help the team from the start of the year all the way to the main event. This team is also the first line of communication from DR to teams. Dancer Relations team will relay important information to team captains on an as-needed basis and conduct 1:1’s with specific teams as well. Members will reach out to new and existing teams to increase participation and involvement within the Knight-Thon community. In addition, the Dancer Relations Impact Team will assist in Recruitment events, and get to share the message of Knight-Thon to others.

The Community Engagement Impact Team will work directly with the Family and Hospital Relations team and the Membership Development Director. This team will have the opportunity to build relationships and advocate for the miracle families we are so privileged to serve, as well as create best practices for getting them involved within our program. The Community team plays a key role in educating and involving members in the UCF and Orlando communities, and working to create a diverse and inclusive environment for the students and participants.

The Communications Impact Team will work directly with the Directors and Captains of Marketing, Productions, and Promotions. This team will learn and practice many different skills, such as creating graphics, brainstorm merchandise ideas, filming promotional videos, photography, researching social media trends, and so much more! These members are a crucial part of the Communications Team and will help carry out the year-long theme, uphold the Knight-Thon Brand, and brainstorm the newest ideas for our social media and marketing strategies. The Communications team is made up of creative individuals who enjoy working and collaborating towards a common goal.

The Finance Impact Team strategically assists in the areas of partnerships, accounting, hospitality and fundraising. This team is an active part in planning fundraising push days along with interacting with new and returning partners. Throughout the year, this team has the opportunity to gain insight on how Knight-Thon as a whole keeps track of all funds raised by counting money that is turned in, while also learning how to use the back end of donor drive to credit money to dancer’s donor drives. The Finance Impact Team is composed of students from all majors who continue to think of ways to engage dancers in fundraising, as well as teach effective fundraising practices, throughout campus.

The Marathon Relations Impact Team works directly with our 10 incredible high schools and their students, assisting them in planning and executing their K-12 Mini Dance Marathons throughout the year. Marathon Relations Team attend team meetings, collaborate and visit assigned high schools, communicate between our program and theirs, and attend their main events.

The Morale Impact Team is composed of motivational individuals who prompt participant involvement with a one-of-a-kind enthusiasm for Knight-Thon and fundraising. The team assists in choreographing and teaching the Morale Dance to participants during the event and stewarding them throughout the year. This is the hype-team of Knight-Thon, so we are looking for passionate, excited and energetic individuals to make up our team!!
